Where your passport can take you

Open your passport page and find your destination in the list, or go straight to the route page (for example /visa/india/japan/). Each page gives a plain-language answer, the maximum stay, and where the rule applies.

You can enter for tourism on a valid passport with no visa and no advance application. "Visa on arrival" means a visa is issued at the border; "eTA" means a quick online approval is needed before you fly.
